A foundation

the lowest load-bearing part of a building, typically below ground level.

As a little kid I would never remove the bottom blocks while playing Jenga. It would weaken the whole tower, causing it to come crumbling down. I would lose pretty often but that’s beside the point.

That day I learned that it’s a foundation that makes or breaks something or even someone.

To have an unwavering foundation you need to have the right environment, depth and balance. The soil needs to be suitable, the foundation should be deep rooted into the ground, and the load should be evenly distributed.
